Aluminum alloys for T-profiles

Profall manufactures its aluminum T-profiles using the 1050, 1070, 3103, 6005, and 6060 alloys, selected according to the mechanical and finishing requirements of each project. The 1000 series (1050, 1070) offers high purity, excellent conductivity, and easy workability, making it suitable for electrical and thermal applications. The 3103 alloy, from the 3000 series, adds good corrosion resistance thanks to its manganese content, while 6005 and 6060, from the 6000 series, combine strength with high machinability and weldability, and are ideal candidates for anodizing and painting.

Each alloy is chosen to balance mechanical performance, surface finish, and cost, so the right T-section can meet the technical specifications of construction, mechanical, nautical, electromechanical, or lighting projects.

Industries and applications

Thanks to the variety of available alloys and finishes, Profall's aluminum T-extrusions serve a wide range of industrial sectors:

  • Construction: infill profiles for frames, dividers for panels, and structural finishing elements.
  • Mechanics: components requiring dimensional precision and reliable mechanical behavior for assemblies and machine parts.
  • Nautical: profiles exposed to marine environments, where corrosion resistance is essential.
  • Electromechanics: high-purity alloys such as 1050 and 1070 provide the conductivity needed for electrical and current-carrying components.
  • Lighting: T-sections used as structural or finishing elements in lighting fixtures, often paired with anodized or painted surfaces for aesthetic integration.

This cross-sector versatility is one of the reasons why customers rely on Profall as theirT-slot aluminum extrusion manufacturer for both standard and application-specific projects.

Certified quality and sustainability

Profall manufactures its aluminum T-profiles in compliance with European regulations, ensuring consistent dimensional accuracy and mechanical reliability across every batch. Beyond regulatory compliance, Profall works with certified sustainable aluminum, backed by internationally recognized standards:

  • ASI (Aluminium Stewardship Initiative): responsible and sustainable aluminum supply chain management.
  • EPD (Environmental Product Declaration): third-party life cycle analysis, aligned with ISO 14025.
  • LCA (Life Cycle Assessment): full raw-material-to-disposal impact assessment, aligned with ISO 14044.
  • GHG Inventory: greenhouse gas emissions monitoring across the production chain, aligned with ISO 14064.

These certifications give customers full traceability and transparency on the materials used in their T-profiles, supporting ESG goals without compromising on technical performance.
